Summer Youth Employment
(Ages 14-17)
GenesisHOPE provides job readiness, employability and work ethics training for teens (age 14-18). Participants have an opportunity for summer employment that includes some supervisory and management positions. The final exam of the eight hour workshop is a one-on-one interview screening. Successful candidates are scheduled for interviews to compete with their peers for employment. Youth are interviewed and qualified candidates are placed for employment.
GenesisHOPE employs over ten youth to work seven weeks, Monday – Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The Summer Program Director, Recreation Director, teachers and mentors interact with the youth to provide on-the-job coaching, supervisory opportunities and CPR certification. The youth build interpersonal skills and a sense of accountability, two things necessary to succeed in life.
