Adopt a Family

Adopt a Family for the 2020 Holiday Season

Every year Genesis Lutheran Church holds its Adopt A Family food drive to provide holiday food baskets to families in need.  Last year, with the generous support of the congregation and the community, they served 75 families a basket full of holiday cheer including a turkey, stuffing, sweet treats, and more!

This year, you too can make a difference for Detroit families this holiday season, and there are many ways to help.

1.  Drop off non-perishables to the church during any of the specified Drop-Off Hours from now through December 11th:

Follow the Alphabet Donation Guidelines below!

This is a fun way to make sure there is a variety of goods in each

  • You can also make checks payable to “Genesis Lutheran Church” and drop it off at the church during the specified Drop-Off Hours or mail it to
